These three interrelated video projections are details from a body of work that plays on the relationship between the human body, specifically the mouth and the architectural spaces used. Slowly I use saliva to create bubbles, which are the residue of attempting to use my lips as an aperture which projects onto film in my mouth, the mouth becoming a camera. The work is about our ‘being’ which challenges the Cartesian view and Descartes notion that ‘art’ is a mode of thinking according to our intellect rather than a definition of our access to being’.
