Life without a Lens ‘series’ 2021 - 2024 (ongoing)

A selection of images from a project that I have been working on for over 3 years and am excited to see how it will progress over time. The works were exhibited as part of a group exhibition at ‘Life Full Colour’  - Open Show Caernarfon in 2020 and as part of the exhibition ‘Art in Nature’ at Ty Meirion Gallery, Dyffryn Ardudwy in 2022.  Since moving to the beautiful Welsh Coast nature has increasingly become my subject. I love spending time engaging with nature in an intimate way, capturing its mystery using a camera obscura, to create digital pinhole photographs.

I love the process of pinhole, which is expressive of the imperceptible passage of time, making visible that which is invisible to the ordinary eye, for me it captures a sense of the mystical in the ordinary.
